Wannon and Corangamite Climate Action Now is a community based, non party-political group of people concerned about climate change.
OUR BROAD OBJECTIVES ARE:
• To raise public awareness and understanding about anthropogenic climate change.
• To facilitate and promote discussion and action within the Wannon electorate aimed at ensuring all levels of Government in Australia legislate and implement legislation and policies to ensure effective measures to combat the causes of climate change.
• This includes measures to reduce the emission of green house gasses into the atmosphere, promotion of renewable energy and measures to decrease de-afforestation.
• To unite and work in co-operation with like-minded groups both locally and nationally to achieve these objectives.
• To respond to inaccurate information about climate change in the media.
