Description

In December 2015 Nippon Paper sold its South East Fibre Exports chipmill at Eden, NSW to a new company, Allied Natural Wood Exports (ANWE). Eden has exported tens of millions tonnes of woodchips since it was established. This change in ownership presented a wonderful opportunity for change which has been squandered.

ANWE does not chip 'waste,' only whole logs.
"Business as usual" means forests will be clear felled for the sole purpose of chipping.
Every tree was once home to hundreds of forest dwelling creatures, some facing regional extinction due to woodchipping.
Worse, taxpayers subsidise this dinosaur industry.
