The Central West Environment Council.

CWEC is an umbrella network of district environment groups in the Central West of NSW. Member groups are based in Orange, Bathurst, Dubbo, Lithgow, Mudgee, Rylstone and other parts of the region. We provide the opportunity for groups to share their experiences, swap campaigning tips, get help and advice and to socialise.

We had a great turnout for the meeting in Kandos on August 4th. Such a lovely drive, although drepressingly dry. Almost all districts represented.

We also agreed to host the Nature Conservation Council in Orange in late autumn/early winter in 2020, probably with the theme of water management. The northern, southern and western region usually take turns at this. This year it was on the north coast . The Central Western region has hosted in recent years in Dubbo, Bathurst & Lithgow, and Mudgee some time ago.
